The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing operational and strategic projects within Alefbet Collections and Recoveries to improve efficiency, compliance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
The incumbent will manage strategic projects that drive overall performance improvement, reduce costs, and strengthen client and stakeholder relationships, whilst ensuring alignment with Alefbet Collections and Recoveries' architecture.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum National Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Project Management, or a related field is mandatory.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in project management within a large call centre environment, preferably in a debt collections environment.
Proven experience in end-to-end planning and implementation of operational or system-based projects.
Minimum 2 years' working experience with advanced level in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and performance management tools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency
Conduct process mapping to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and operational gaps.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, compliance, and accuracy.
Design and standardise workflows, operational procedures, and documentation.
Monitor, evaluate, and refine processes to ensure continuous improvement.
Project Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple projects simultaneously across different business units.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource allocations.
Manage timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure project completion within expected parameters.
Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project outcomes, lessons learned, and sustainability of improvements.
Maintain accurate project documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the project scope and develop a comprehensive work breakdown structure, ensuring a shared understanding of deliverables and project approach.
Collaborate with Operations, IT, HR, Training, and Business Support and Client Services teams to drive successful project execution.
Ensure all projects align with the company's strategic objectives and client contractual requirements.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure stakeholder engagement and accountability throughout project life cycles.
Compliance and Quality Control
Ensure all process and project activities comply with company policies, client SLAs, and applicable legislation (POPIA, NCA, ISO standards).
Partner with Compliance Manager to integrate governance and risk management into project planning.
Maintain complete documentation to support audits, client reviews, and regulatory inspections.
Training and Change Management
Facilitate change management by ensuring training and onboarding sessions for new processes or systems.
Communicate company-wide updates on project initiatives, milestones, and progress to ensure organisational alignment and transparency.
