Our client in the catering and hospitality sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the operations of a large catering unit in Pretoria. This senior role requires a strong leader with proven catering management experience, exceptional organizational ability and the confidence to manage high-volume food production and client service at the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for daily operational management, menu planning, budgeting, cost control, HSE compliance, staff leadership, financial administration, stock management and ensuring all services meet contractual and statutory requirements. This position demands a hands-on manager with excellent communication skills, strong client relationship ability and the capability to drive quality, efficiency, and profitability across the operation.
Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) with a relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Catering, Culinary Arts or Food & Beverage Management
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar catering or hospitality leadership role
• Project management experience within catering / hospitality advantageous
• Strong financial skills including costing, budgeting, forecasting and invoicing
• Knowledge of school catering environments and industry regulations
• Excellent staff management, HR, communication and customer service skills
• Solid understanding of HSE standards and audit processes
• Ability to manage functions, menu planning food production and high-quality presentation
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
