The role also includes managing repairs, maintenance, dismantling activities, and container foundation construction as outlined in the project's scope of work.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full Scope of Work for the supply and maintenance of:
Office and ablution facilities
Water supply facilities
Containers (supply, maintenance, dismantling, and foundation works)
Minor construction services
Electrician services
Hygiene services
Manage service delivery on an
as-and-when required basis
in line with contract requirements.
Ensure all service providers comply with the defined scope and required standards.
Coordinate and engage with multiple internal stakeholders, including:
Technical
SHEQ
Financial
SD&L
Commercial
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare status reports, documentation, and ensure efficient communication across all functional areas.
Ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
NQF Level 7/8 in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Project Management
PMP or PRINCE2 Certification (advantageous)
Safety, Risk Management, and Contract Management Training
Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, logistics, facilities management, or similar environment.
5 years
managing industrial projects, specifically involving packings, gaskets, seals, and related equipment in power stations or heavy industry.
Proven track record in coordinating supply, installation, maintenance, and replacement of packings and gaskets in high-pressure, high-temperature systems.
Hands-on experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, contracts, budgets, and schedules.
Extensive knowledge of compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations (SHEQ).
Strong understanding of maintenance operations, facility supply, containerized structures, and minor construction.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple service providers across various specialities.
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving ability.
