Job Description

Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Project Manager who will be iresponsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital, operational, and compliance projects on behalf of Tsebo's clients and for internal Tsebo initiatives. This includes managing scope definition, BOQ preparation, technical assessments, contractor/vendor engagement, financial control, and project governance. A critical focus of the role is ensuring strict compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, statutory requirements, and client-specific policies. The Project Manager will act as the key link between Tsebo, the client, and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
Workplace Management and Services Objectives:

  • Project Delivery & EHS Compliance
  • Manage the full project lifecycle (initiation to close-out) for both client and internal Tsebo projects.
  • Ensure EHS is embedded in all stages of project planning and execution.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure all contractors adhere to method statements, permits-to-work, and site safety standards.
  • Zero tolerance approach to unsafe work practices.
  • Project progress reports and assessments
Technical & Financial Control
  • Prepare BOQs, technical assessments, and scope documentation.
  • Obtain and evaluate comparative supplier/contractor quotations.
  • Manage budgets, cost control, and financial reporting for projects.
  • Track and manage project variations, ensuring client approvals are obtained.
  • Contractor & Stakeholder Management
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Ensure SLA/KPI compliance for all project deliverables.
  • Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring transparent communication.
  • Conduct regular project progress meetings and report on milestones, risks, and mitigations.
Governance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and audit trails.
  • Prepare and present reports (financial, progress, risk, compliance) to clients and Tsebo leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement by conducting project close-out reviews and lessons learnt workshops.
Performance Indicators
  • 100% compliance with EHS and statutory regulations. Ensure that suppliers/contractors are issued with the relevant permits.
  • Projects delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • High client satisfaction ratings.
  • Accurate and timely project reporting.
  • No critical audit or compliance findings.
  • Effective management of contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications
  • Matric plus a relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or Construction.
  • PMP/Prince2 or equivalent certification advantageous.
  • EHS-related training/certification (e.g. OHS Act, Risk Assessment, ISO standards) preferred. Proven track record in contract, SLA, and vendor management, including Hard Service audits and compliance with OHS standards.
  • Strong background in project management, including large-scale refurbishments, energy optimisation, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Financial management skills, including budget control, cost-saving initiatives, CapEx/OpEx planning.
  • Strong relationship management skills, dealing with clients, landlords, executives, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and exposure to CAFM/CMMS systems.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience with evidence of staff mentoring, motivation, and development.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in project management within Facilities Management, Construction, or Engineering.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects (client and internal).
  • Demonstrated track record of BOQ development, tender evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contractor management.
  • Experience in enforcing EHS compliance on large, high-profile projects.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets (CapEx/OpEx), reporting, and cost control.Project Management
