PROJECT MANAGER (PM) - FREELANCE
Role overview
Clockwork is looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented Project Manager to join our creative team, working closely with a US-based team operating on Pacific Standard Time (PST).
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced advertising and communications environment, is confident managing digital-first projects, and excels at coordinating creative teams to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget.
The role will start as a freelance contract for 3 months, with the potential to extend.
Working hours

• 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM SAST
• Aligned with US PST working hours

Key responsibilities
Project management & delivery

• Manage end-to-end project delivery across creative and digital projects
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high production standard
• Identify risks early and proactively manage dependencies and blockers

Creative & production collaboration

• Work closely with designers, producers, copywriters, editors, and other production partners
• Ensure creative output aligns with briefs, brand guidelines, and production requirements
• Maintain a strong focus on production value and attention to detail

Client & stakeholder communication

• Act as the key point of contact between internal teams and US-based stakeholders
• Lead clear, structured communication across time zones
• Manage feedback loops, approvals, and revisions efficiently

Digital & advertising focus

• Manage digital deliverables including (but not limited to): web, social, paid media, and content campaigns
• Understand digital production workflows, dependencies, and best practices
• Ensure accurate handovers between creative, digital, and production teams

Required skills & experience

• 3+ years' experience as a Project Manager in an advertising, creative, or communications agency
• Strong understanding of digital project workflows
• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail and organisational ability
• Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working with international teams across time zones
• Strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills
