POSITION OVERVIEW

Mogalakwena Edu Solutions (MESO) is seeking an experienced and qualified

Project Manager

to lead and manage a multidisciplinary maintenance contract in Limpopo. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance operations for fire protection systems, potable and raw water systems, clarifiers, pollution control dams, diesel generator engines, and associated mechanical, electrical and instrumentation components.

This role requires strong leadership, advanced technical knowledge, exceptional coordination capabilities and strict adherence to OHS legislation, environmental compliance and quality management standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise the full multidisciplinary project team

Manage all preventative and corrective maintenance activities

Ensure compliance with the OHS Act, Regulations and relevant standards

Develop risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures

Ensure alignment with SANS standards, OEM guidelines and best practices

Maintain clear communication with client stakeholders

Monitor and manage KPIs (PM compliance, response time, scheduling)

Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions

Coordinate shutdown maintenance and emergency call-outs

Ensure accurate job cards, inspection sheets and maintenance records

Manage subcontractors and specialist service providers

Drive continuous improvement and cost control initiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related Engineering field

Valid driver's licence

Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, maintenance management systems)

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS (ADVANTAGEOUS)

ECSA Registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng / Candidate)

SACPCMP Registration (CHSO/CHSM/CM)

SAQCC Fire Registration (Supervisor Level)

MANDATORY CERTIFICATIONS

OHS Act Compliance Training

Incident Investigation Certificate

Confined Space Entry

Working at Heights

Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO) Training

Fire Fighting Certificate (advantage)

First Aid Level 1-3 (advantage)

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Fire Protection Systems:

Fire pumps, hydrants and sprinkler systems

Fire detection and gas suppression systems

Fire extinguisher inspection and servicing

Water Infrastructure:

Potable and raw water systems

Clarifiers and water treatment processes

Pumps, valves, pipelines and instrumentation

Diesel Generator Systems:

Engine servicing and repairs

Fuel systems and load testing

Electrical control and diagnostics

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

5-10 years in industrial, mining or plant maintenance environments

Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or project management role

Strong understanding of high-risk work environments

Experience managing diverse technical teams

Knowledge of SAP/RWM or similar maintenance platforms (advantage)
