Project Manager - Engineering & Construction

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing engineering and construction projects from proposal stage through to commissioning, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposals:

• Manage the compilation of proposals for new projects.
• Negotiate commercial terms and project management deliverables.

Project Management:

• Oversee project scope, quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
• Register and maintain project documentation.
• Monitor and maintain debtor and creditor records.
• Track project cash flows and ensure positive cash flow.
• Control project costs, manage budgets, and raise debtors invoices.
• Drive client satisfaction and ensure project targets are achieved.
• Lead and coordinate the project team.
• Manage procurement processes.
• Oversee construction and engineering activities.

Construction & Commissioning Management:

• Liaise with site/construction personnel.
• Conduct site visits, including international travel when required.

General:

• Execute projects according to contract requirements.
• Manage the 5-step handover process.
• Ensure accurate electronic filing and documentation management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in project management within engineering/construction environments.
• Strong financial acumen related to project cash flow, budgeting, and cost control.
• Effective leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel for site visits, including internationally.
• Proficiency with project management systems and tools.

• Competitive salary package of R140 000 to R150 000/m Gross
