Job Description


A diverse Group of Companies that have been operational for more than 35 years is expanding their property portfolio and they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage their portfolio which includes hospitality, commercial as well as residential projects.

The Property Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of property development projects, from inception to completion. This role requires a keen understanding of construction and project management. The Property Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality and safety standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for property development projects ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and provide financial reporting to senior management.
  • Stay updated on relevant local and national building codes, zoning regulations, and permit laws.
  • Ensure all projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and other relevant parties.
  • Select and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage/conduct routine maintenance, repairs of electrical, fire, generator, plumbing, building structure and all associated equipment and assets.
  • Maintain an up to date maintenance and service schedule for each property, fixed as well as moveable assets (including vehicles)
  • Liaise with tenants and stakeholders to schedule and monitor reactive maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property development, project management and maintenance.
  • Ability to respond to after hours emergency maintenance issues
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Knowledge of relevant local building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Sober habits
