Greenfield Resources is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to manage construction projects from inception to close-out in line with the SACPCMP Scope of Services (Stages 1-6). The role includes planning, coordination, programme control, contract compliance, and quality management to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, cost, and quality requirements.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to project scoping and integration, work independently with minimal supervision, and ensure client and stakeholder expectations are met. A strong understanding of the built-environment project lifecycle is essential.
2. Key Responsibilities
Plan and initiate projects, including defining scope, programme, budget, resources, risks, and performance measures.
Conduct feasibility assessments and risk analyses to confirm project viability.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, subcontractors, and internal technical specialists.
Manage project execution to ensure effective coordination, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
Monitor project progress, programme, budgets, cash flow, and expenditure, implementing corrective actions where required.
Identify and manage project risks, changes, and issues in a timely and controlled manner.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular reports, presentations, and progress updates.
Manage client expectations and maintain strong, professional stakeholder relationships.
Provide technical oversight by reviewing designs, reports, and deliverables for compliance and quality.
Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, safety, quality, and company governance requirements.
Maintain accurate project documentation in line with ISO and QA/QC standards.
Manage project close-out, including handover, final acceptance, close-out documentation, and lessons learned.
Strong contract knowledge (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC and GCC)
Excellent leadership, communication & financial management skills
3. Qualifications
Recognised Built Environment Degree (Construction Management, QS, Civil Engineering, Architecture) - NQF 7 or higher.
Professional registration (Pr.CPM / PMP) beneficial.
4. Experience
8+ years' experience delivering construction projects within a consulting environment.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Experience managing clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies and statutory compliance frameworks
