• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy power system installations
• Strong understanding of solar/wind energy systems
• Knowledgeable about industry regulations and standards in South Africa
• Extensive experience in overseeing technicians during solar power solution installations, validating on-site work, and actively monitoring established sites to ensure customer satisfaction
• Proven expertise in conducting site evaluations, as well as assessing, specifying, and selecting components with a keen understanding of the balance between cost and performance advantages

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations
• Preparing detailed engineering designs and specifications
• Overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources
• Staying abreast of industry regulations and standards
• Overseeing and providing technical support throughout the entire lifecycle of projects, from licensing and approval processes to installation, testing, and ongoing operations and maintenance
• Providing essential technical assistance in the preparation of tenders and proposals, integrating critical technical aspects into project models to enhance competitiveness
