To manage and execute in-house engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring thorough scoping, timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with operational goals. The Project Engineer will play a key role in optimizing production processes, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities

Project Scoping
Lead the conceptualization phase by gathering all relevant requirements.
Compile a detailed scope with specialist input and drafting office support
Ensure buy in and sign off by the relevant stakeholders
Project Execution & Commissioning
Lead onsite construction, implementation, and commissioning of engineering projects.
Ensure smooth handover and integration of projects into operations.
Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet project goals.
Project Management
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Track project costs and ensure adherence to budget.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and adjustments.
Resource & Process Optimization
Predict and allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
Apply industry best practices and standards throughout project execution.
Documentation & Compliance
Draft and maintain project documentation, manuals, and procedures.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal and external standards.
Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Collaboration & Support
Assist the Engineering Manager: Projects with engineering-related activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business goals.
Mentor junior staff or interns involved in project activities.
Health and Safety
Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
Attend safety education and refresher programmes
Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
Distribute safety information as and when required
Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
Requirements

Qualification and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering Minimum 4 years relevant working experience
3-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
Proven experience in managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and continuous improvement principles.
Experience in mechanical Design, P&ID, Project management, Commissioning and project execution will be an advantage
