Job Description

Job Summary They're looking for a Solar Project Engineer to lead and support the engineering design, execution, and commissioning of UTILITY-scale Solar PV & BESS projects (commercial, industrial, agriculture and utility scale). If you're passionate about renewable energy and thrive on solving complex engineering challenges, then we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:

? Design and optimize solar PV systems using tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
? Perform technical feasibility studies and yield analysis
? Develop and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring layouts, and construction drawings
?? Support procurement and construction teams with technical input
? Ensure compliance with applicable standards (NRS, IEC, and SANS)
? Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables
? Collaborate with clients, EPCs, and utility stakeholders during all project phases

Requirements:

? Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
? 3-5 years' experience in solar PV project design or engineering
? Proficient in PV design software (PVsyst, AutoCAD, etc.)
? Knowledge of grid-tied and hybrid systems
? Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
? Valid driver's license (advantageous for site visits)
