Project Engineer Manufacturing ~ Renewable Energy
Cape Town - Western Cape - South Africa

Seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee and manage electrical projects from initiation to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with clients, and engineers, to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage electrical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, software developers and technical manager (R&D) to ensure project requirements are met
• Review project plans, technical specifications, and electrical designs
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
• Prepare project status reports and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Conduct project meetings and facilitate effective communication among team members
• Manage project budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in electrical engineering projects
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices, electrical systems, codes, and regulations
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in project management software and tools
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
