Qpoint Group is seeking a Project Coordinator (contract role) based in Johannesburg to provide executive support to our Managing Director and oversee environmental team activities. We operate in ESG consulting, environmentalcompliance, water management, climate resilience, research & development, and policy advisory services. In this context, the Project Coordinator will coordinate projects, ensure regulatory compliance, engage stakeholders, and manage administrative tasks to support our environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate environmental projects and initiatives to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Lead the preparation of technical documentation for environmental aspects of proposals and tender submissions.
Liaise with stakeholders (clients, regulators, partners) regarding project updates and environmental commitments.
Take charge of Qpoint's environmental compliance program to ensure the company and its staff remain up-to-date and in line with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
Provide administrative support to the Managing Director, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
Facilitate communication and collaboration within the environmental team to ensure alignment on goals and responsibilities.
Oversee the portfolio of environmental projects to ensure they remain on schedule and meet all client deadlines and quality deliverables
Act as a proxy for the MD in oversight of ongoing projects, especially during the MD's absence.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
B.Sc. in Environmental Science or a related field (minimum requirement).
Experience:
Proven experience in environmental project coordination or executive support roles.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with environmental regulations and ESG standards; understanding of sustainability and compliance practices.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
Communication:
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Adaptability:
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and support cross-functional teams.
