Job Description

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-orientated Project Coordinator to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role will support the project management team by assisting with operations, documentation, data analysis, and project tracking. The role will be internal facing, focussing on business as usual projects.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills; be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); as well as ticket handling platforms such as Jira.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist the PMO in daily operations, including task coordination and project tracking.
  • Manage and update project documentation, reports, and dashboards using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Use Jira to manage and monitor project issues and tasks.
  • Prepare project status reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and ensure timely resolution of issues by coordinating with internal teams.
  • Support the team in resource management, scheduling, and follow-up on project deliverables.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like meeting scheduling, minute-taking, and maintaining project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance and standards.
  • Any other tasks as directed by MRI Leadership team.
Requirements:
Personal and Business Skills:
  • Great organisational and record keeping skills.
  • Capability to multi-task along with a willingness to learn, develop, accept and adapt to a constant changing environment.
  • Must be a driver, a great communicator and know when to involve people to get tasks completed on time.
  • Strategic, tactical, and detailed oriented. Meticulous attention to detail required--places high value on order and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Experience:
  • Must have at least 3+ years of experience in a BAU Project Coordination / Project Manager role and ability to demonstrate excellent scope and timeline control.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working within an IT environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis), PowerPoint (presentations), and Word (documentation).
  • Hands-on experience with ticket handling tools such as Jira.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Experience working in a PMO or supporting project management functions.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Knowledge of project tracking tools and project governance frameworks.
