To coordinate the needs and implementation components of this feasibility and acceptability study for the Soweto home-based screening clinical breast examination study

Key performance areas:
Set study recruitment/enrolment and retention targets/matrix for the team and ensure that they are met
Effectively manage the implementation of the study mixed methods needs analyses and pilot intervention in accordance with the study protocol
Manage and coordinate study intervention field workers
Identify implementation issue and report them in a time effective manner
Review data as set out by the study protocol
Manage day-to-day running of the study
Manage scheduled and unscheduled patient visits and appointments where required in accordance with study protocol
Conduct protocol, SSP, SOP and any study related training for staff
Manage regulatory and ethics related matters for the study
Source documentation development or fine-tuning when appropriate
Review of participant files for completeness
Maintain a good system for reporting daily study activities
Compiling and submission of study progress reports
Coordinate study update meetings
Assist in project planning and implement the study protocol, including all standard operating procedures
Support and contribute to quality control of the qualitative study
Maintain all study records in accordance with the study protocol
Ensure ethical protocols and procedures are adhered to
Convene meetings, liaise and communicate with partners in the communities, government and as required
Maintain database files and records for the project as required
Required minimum education and training:
Matric Certificate
Fluent in English and/or Zulu/Sesotho
Required minimum work experience:
Minimum 1-2 year's research experience managing research studies or fieldwork
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Ability to function in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and pay attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team
Computer literacy - competence in MS Word and Excel essential
Able to exercise discretion and independent decision making
Well organised
Problem solver
Experience working with vulnerable populations
Experience of working with donor-funded projects and in a research or academic environment is an advantage
Soweto travel and overtime/weekend may be required from time to time
Working in under-resourced areas is required
Ability to engage with the community in which the study is conducted
