POSITION: Project and Data Engineer BRANCH: Head Office, Epping, Cape Town

BOLTFAST, a leading distributor of Industrial Fasteners is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project and Data Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for providing data-driven insights and business intelligence to support decision-making, contribute to strategy development and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and engineering improvement.

Generate data-driven insights and reports to inform decision-making at various levels of the organization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies aligned with company objectives.

Assist in the development and maintenance of data visualization tools and dashboards for performance monitoring.

Work closely with the Engineering and Project Manager and data team to provide data-driven recommendations for process optimization.

Identify and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track departmental performance.

Contribute to the development of business intelligence solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).

Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Effective communication skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Above-average command of English is required.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines.

Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.

Strong personal qualities, including honesty, reliability, responsibility, trustworthiness, and maturity.

A market related remuneration package is offered based on experience, which includes membership to the Company pension fund, life insurance and funeral cover.
