Job Description

An established organisation is seeking a motivated Project Accountant to support its finance team. This role focuses on project-related financial administration, ensuring accurate reporting, proper cost control, and compliance with financial policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to collaborate effectively with project managers and senior finance stakeholders.
You will monitor project budgets, track costs and maintain accurate financial records across assigned projects. You will process and verify project-related invoices, prepare cost reports, and support financial forecasting and cost-benefit analysis. The role includes performing project reconciliations, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, and assisting in project audits. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers to ensure real-time visibility of financial performance. Additional support may be required for ad-hoc reporting and project-related financial enquiries
Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems and MS Excel
Excellent analytical ability with strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines independently and within a team
Minimum 3 years' experience in project accounting or financial analysis
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting and financial regulations
Experience with project management or ERP systems is beneficial
Industry-specific exposure (e.g., engineering, construction, real estate) is advantageous
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance
