Job Description

We are looking for a highly capable project accountant to provide accounting and project support. The candidate must be able to provide project managers with accurate financial information and possess extensive experience in accounting.

Job Objectives:

ERP Job module super user Develop and automate monthly reports e.g. Charged and Chargeable hours reports Report on group Work in Hand Authorize the issue of project Purchase Orders in line with the procurement policy Maintain and develop a sub-contractor procedure and monitor implementation Develop and maintain a budget tracking tool on the group ERP system - Annual updates of resource selling rates and system maintenance Develop and maintain cash payments system for projects, ensure cash reconciliations are carried out and other good financial management actions are in place Maintain job costing templates for pricing and tenders First line of approval of any rate deviations. Assist with monthly reconciliation of the ERP Job module to the general ledger. Ensure company costs including, resource time, vehicle and field equipment cost are charge to jobs and recovered monthly Review costing templates for large proposals Flag projects risks and project costs out of budget to CFO / Finance and Risk Committee Lead monthly project write off committee Project budget and cost control standards and monitoring Liaise with project managers and administrators to ensure the management system is up to date and issues are resolved by each month end Implement control on spend (limits of authority) Ensure project cash flow remaining positive Approval of costs in line with budget and petty cash process Coordinate annual rate increases Coordinate Audits and reconciliations as required Forecast cost to completion as required.

Experience

10 years on project accounting, quantity surveying or cost control Microsoft Business central knowledge advantages Microsoft BI or similar reporting experience advantageous * Knowledge of rates and overhead recovery calculations advantageous
