Job Description

The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of

Programme Officer - Human Capital And Institutional Development within the

African Demographic and Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme (A2DSRH) and

the Creating Opportunities for Youth and Women in Africa Programme (COYWA)

.






Required Skills and

Competencies




Experience in project management.

Experience in monitoring and evaluation.

Strong research abilities to conduct background research and synthesize findings. Analytical thinking to interpret data, draw conclusions, and support decision-making. Excellent writing and editing skills for drafting reports, project documents, press releases, and communication materials. High level professional integrity and ability to always maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work with a team of professional staff and other colleagues.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, be proactive and creative.

Possession of energy, drive, enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for high quality work.

Good analytical, organization and planning skills.

Effective time management skills.

Capacity to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Enterprise Resource Packages, especially data analytical applications and tools. Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.




Education and

Experience

:






A Master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, International Relations, Social Sciences, Economics, Development Economics, Health Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field with a minimum relevant experience of two (2) years of working experience within multilateral/ development institutions or similar organisations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.


OR



Bachelor's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, International Relations, Social Sciences, Economics, Development Economics, Health Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field with a minimum relevant experience of four (4) years of working experience within multilateral/ development institutions or similar organisations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.

Remuneration:

Indicative basic salary of US$35,044.83 per annum plus other entitlements e.g., Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($21,832.88 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
