This role is responsible for defining the programme governance framework for Digital & IT. The programme manager oversees planning, coordination, execution, and implementation of Digital & IT projects and programmes. This role works closely with stakeholders such as Domain Leads, Local Markets, Commercial, Internal functions (Finance, SCM etc.), and third-party vendors to achieve programme outcomes. The role includes identifying, managing, and mitigating programme risks and issues to ensure on-time delivery of objectives. Additionally, this role involves creating dashboards and regular reporting on the progress to the stakeholders to ensure expectations are managed and commitments are consistently met. The role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise and interpersonal skills to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Digital & IT programmes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Programme Management:



Define the programme management governance framework and support the use of the preferred methodologies to achieve optimal value. Collaborate with stakeholders across Group Digital & IT, Commercial, Local Markets, and Internal Functions to ensure programme objectives align with overall strategy and goals. Understand the business priorities, objectives, key requirements & define the programme roadmap. Ensure that the programme delivery enables the achievement of the benefits outlined in the business case. Establish and oversee programme governance, monitoring delivery and performance against objectives. Provide dashboards to key stakeholders on the performance, highlighting progress on deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and budget. Effectively manage and report on budget use against approved funds. Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication throughout planning, execution, delivery, and post-implementation.

Budget Management:



Collaborate with Finance and Project Managers to govern and monitor capex utilisation against committed budget. Prepare and present budget reports to key stakeholders, emphasizing critical focus areas. Manage project budgets, invoicing, and reporting for strategic initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Governance and Risk:



Identify, assess, and prioritize programme risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts. Oversee technology assurance processes (i.e. shadow IT, lifecycle management etc) to ensure compliance with the required controls. Oversee the delivery of audit actions cross the markets, review audit reports, and ensure corrective measures are taken as committed.

Communication:



Communication is crucial for this role, requiring close collaboration with delivery teams, Programme sponsors, and various stakeholders to track progress and update on any strategic changes or priorities. The role includes reporting project and programme progress to Senior Stakeholders. Compile and communicate portfolio reports as agreed with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Relevant Bachelor's Degree and certification in Project/Programme management or related (essential) Relevant Postgraduate Degree (preferable)

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

A minimum of 10 years Programme/Project management experience. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage finances to support strategic goals. Vendor selection and RFP / RFI management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively. Experience working in cross functional teams across diverse geographical locations and stakeholder groups. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. Expertise in shaping and running large scale business transformation programmes. A self-starter with a determination to succeed balanced with appropriate tact and diplomacy.
