At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field*
At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, Chapters in a book and book publication*
Evidence of supervision of at least four Master or Doctoral students*
Mentoring and coaching of junior staff*
Associate Professor:
Doctoral degree in Horticulture or related discipline*
At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.*
At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, Chapters in a book and book publication*
Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/ Doctoral students*
Job summary:
The candidate will be required to:
Lecture of students*
Initiate, find funding for, perform and publish research*
Supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students*
Engage in community projects*
Assist the department in developing and improving its curricula*
Take part in departmental strategic planning workshops*
Perform administrative tasks if required by the HoD*
