The School of Law has the following vacancies:
PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Law of Contract and International Business Transactions Law (1 vacancy)

PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Law of Succession, Persons and Family Law (1 vacancy)

PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Law of Evidence, Civil and/or Criminal Procedure (1 vacancy)

PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Constitutional Law (the primary teaching and research focus must be broader than the Bill of the Rights) (1 vacancy)

PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Corporate Law (1 vacancy)

REQUIREMENTS

1.Applicants at the level of Professor/Associate Professor must have a doctorate (preferably in the advertised field being applied for) and substantial accredited research output in one of the fields applied for; a proven track record of effective teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and evidence of successful postgraduate supervision. Evidence of graduating PhD or LLM (research) students will be an advantage. An NRF rating is an advantage.

2.Applicants at the level of Adjunct Professor must at least have an LLB, preferably an LLM, and must have worked in a professional field where they were not expected to be an active researcher. They must have distinguished themselves in teaching and excelled in their profession as evidenced by reputation and/or international standing.

Applicants may be required to teach at both postgraduate and undergraduate level in the advertised fields and if the need arises in an additional field.
