PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/SENIOR LECTURER (REF A081)

PROFESSOR

PhD in History coupled with at least ten (10) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience. The successful candidate must also provide evidence of at least fifteen (15) publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals/book publications/chapters in a book, as well as evidence of supervision of four Master's or PhD students to completion.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

PhD in History coupled with at least ten (10) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience. The successful candidate must also provide evidence of at least ten (10) publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals/book publications/chapters in a book. The candidate should have supervised at least four Master's or PhD students to completion.

SENIOR LECTURER

PhD in History. At least 5 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 7 years' professional experience in the relevant field. Must have 5 publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals as well as leadership qualities. Must have the ability to manage workload and possess efficient administration skills.

DUTIES

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise Honours, Master's and PhD students. Assist the department in developing and improving its curriculum. Publishing in an accredited journal. Conduct community engagement. To teach using E-learning/online resources/platforms.
