Job Description

Attention all Service Consultant gurus! We are looking for an innovative and talented Professional Services Consultant who strives to make a difference in a dynamic environment as part of our efficient and enthusiastic team.

This position is responsible for the expert technical knowledge of and ability to effectively implement and run the CA Service Management suite.

2 or more years of work experience as an IT professional are required for this position. Educated in Information Technology and prefer a minimum of 1 year experience at an IT professional services, Service Desk environment. or software/hardware organization.

What you'll do:

  • Utilize Services Best Practices to implement and administer the CA Service Management Suite as a solution within the client environment.
  • Troubleshoot technical product implementation and configuration issues.
  • Ability to interact with OEM support to open and track product issues when necessary.
  • Assist with day-to-day Issues/Requests logged for your attention.
  • Ability to work under high demands and deliver in a timely manner.
  • Guide client to apply product best practice according to client business requirements.
  • Actively engage as part of the project team with the purpose of contributing product and solution expertise, and to contribute as required to deliver a successful client engagement, taking the lead from the Project Manager (when applicable) directive.
  • Meet target billable utilization objective as assigned for this role.
  • Adhere to Time and Expense Policy.
  • Adhere to company policies of Code of Conduct/Ethics; Security and required training.
  • Serve as a mentor to Associate Services Consultants who are actively engaged as part of the project team on assigned client engagements.
  • Help build the knowledge base in the Practice communities in which you choose to participate in xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c including lessons learned, best practices, tools, and methods and learning events using MS Teams and SharePoint as the enabling technology and providing knowledge transfer sessions with client to ensure effective usage of the product.
  • NQF level 6 or higher in IT-related areas.
  • CA Service Management Certification or working knowledge thereof.
  • ITIL Foundation would be a benefit.
  • SQL Knowledge.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows OS.
  • JavaScript knowledge.
  • Within the first 90 days must achieve CA Technologies product training and certification in a minimum of 2 chosen products of expertise as agreed to by your Manager.
  • Also, complete associated solution training that aligns with chosen products.
  • External hardware, operating systems, or specific technology certifications are a plus.
  • Must maintain updated training as required annually.
  • Demonstrated product proficiency, by achieving a Professional CA Services Certification or CA Services work experience may substitute for external work experience, as determined by CA Services.

  • On-site office environment in the Durban CBD area.
Work Environment:
  • A combination of working inside an office environment as well as site work.
  • Traveling be required (own means of travel required).
