Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client, a reputable and established property development firm specialising in major projects across South Africa, is currently seeking a Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for projects
Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
Administer tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with JBCC/FIDIC standards
Monitor project progress, cost variations, and implement cost-control measures
Manage interim and final account valuations and resolve subcontractor claims
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders-including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers-on cost and scope issues
Facilitate value-engineering and provide cost-risk analyses throughout project lifecycle
Requirements
Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
5-10 years' experience in quantity surveying (construction or property development)
Degree or BTech in Quantity Surveying
Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial tracking
Proficiency in QS-specific software (e.g., WinQS, CCS Candy, BuildSmart)
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills
