Job Purpose
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) suitably qualified and competent Professional Engineers to perform all aspects of varied innovative and complex engineering activities that result in progress in technology and engineering applications.
Minimum Requirements
Engineering Degree B Eng/ BSC (Eng)) or relevant qualification; A minimum of 3 years post qualification engineering experience required; Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or have submitted with ECSA for professional registration as a Professional Engineer; A valid code B or higher driving licence.

Experience in the following will be advantageous:
Transport infrastructure, road construction and/or maintenance or the asset management processes of transport infrastructure; Various design stages for multidisciplinary Roads projects; Compiling/preparing tender document and the tender process; Supervising technical staff /teams; Data monitoring and analytics of projects in the various phases; Exposure of financial-, human resource-, supply chain-,contract-, management and scope monitoring during construction; Project management and report writing; Willingness to travel when required; Further studies or courses.

Remuneration
Grade A: R 879 342 - R 938 061 per annum; Grade B: R 990 669 - R 1 067 235 per annum; Grade C:R 1 127 100 - R 1 323 267 per annum
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
