SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professional Civil Engineer or Technologist to join our team in Mbombela. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, planning, and execution of building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in building design, the candidate will contribute technical expertise, manage project deliverables, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.
POSITION INFO:
Our client in the Engineering Industry is looking for Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team in Mpumalanga, Mbombela.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil

or equivalent qualification recognised by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). * Current registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with ECSA (mandatory).

• Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in the design of building structures.
• Proven track record in structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, or institutional buildings.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Prokon, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of South African building codes, standards (SANS), and regulations.
• Experience in project management and client liaison is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and review detailed structural designs for building projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional structures.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports in compliance with South African National Standards (SANS) and other relevant regulations.
• Conduct structural analysis and ensure designs meet safety, durability, and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction phases.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and technologists, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Ensure compliance with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) standards and maintain professional registration requirements.
• Contribute to business development by supporting proposal preparation and client presentations.
