Job SummaryPROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEER / PROFESSIONAL CIVIL TECHNOLOGISTClient is a multi-disciplinary company with head office in Umhlanga, South Africa and branches around RSA as well as Mauritius, Kenya and the UK. Our services include engineering, project management, quantity surveying, environmental consulting, management consulting and town planning. Our Civil Engineering Division is looking for a Professionally Registered Civil Engineer or Technologist to be based at our Umhlanga office.In order to be considered for this position, the candidate :

• Must be a Graduate in BSc Civ Eng / B Eng (Civils) or B Tech (Civil Eng)
• Must be registered as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng.
• (ECSA Registration certificate to accompany applicationxc2xad)

The ideal candidate would also meet the following criteria:

• Strong leadership skills and commercial acumen, underpinned by strong technical ability
• Professionally registered with ECSA prior to 2010
• Loyal (having worked at only 1 or 2 companies to date, but looking to make a final move for a long term career with Client)
• Minimum 12 yearsxe2x80x99 technical experience and 4 yearsxe2x80x99 team leadership experience (most of which in a consulting engineering firm

Experience in:

• Infrastructure design
• Roads, earthworks, storm water and sewer - essential
• Storm water management
• Pump station design (both sewer and water supply) desirable

Experience in the following industries / areas - a strong advantage:

• Municipal engineering, Housing infrastructure, Industrial

Other required skills, abilities and behaviours:

• Proficient in use of MS Office, Autocad Civil 3D (essential) and IDAS an advantage
• Knowledgeable in Hec-ras, GIS, PCSWMM or similar an advantage
• Knowledgeable in eThekwini standards an advantage
• Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
• Accurate xe2x80x93 with strong attention to detail
• Confident, with strong interaction / people skills
• Dynamic and driven xe2x80x93 yet humble
• Even tempered
• Team player
