Requirements:
Professor - PhD in Mine Surveying
- At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
- At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and/or book publications.
- Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters or Doctoral students to completion.
Associate professor:
- PhD in Mine Surveying
- At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the related field
- At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in book and/or book publications.
- Evidence of supervision of at lease four Masters/Doctoral students to completion
Senior Lecturer:
- PhD in Mine surveying
- At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
- At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
- At least 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals.
Duties:
- Teaching at the undergraduate level and supervision of postgraduate students.
- Leadership and active participation in development and review of curricular for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Conducting active research programmes in collaboration with others within and outside the department.
- Publishing research results in accredited, high-impact national and international journals.
- Effectively involvement in community engagement activities of the department
- - Mentoring and couching of junior staff.
