Production/Packaging Supervisor
A fmcg company requires a production supervisor who will play a crucial role in the production/packaging department to meet production targets while ensuring quality, safety and food safety are at the forefront. The role requires managing and supervising a team, delegation, achieving production targets, ensure GMP. The efficient use of resources and equipment. The ideal candidate needs to be strong, strict and stern. Hands on, dedicated and proactive.
Duties and responsibilities
Supervise and manage the production and packaging department
Monitor daily activities, Delegation of tasks to ensure resources are utilized correctly
Maintain production, quality and meet targets
Track team competencies, provide leadership, support and development Enforce company policies, procedures and SOPs
Ensure PPE compliance and uphold GMP
Monitor attendance, lateness, break times
Work hand in hand with food safety to investigate NCRs for failed batches and customer complaints
Desired Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in the FMCG environment
Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role
Matric
Production management/operations qualification preferred
Strong supervisory skills
Professional and experience in staff discipline
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
