Job Summary
A leading custom manufacturing company in the interior and cabinetry sector is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with strong experience in factory floor leadership, production control, and quality oversight to join their team in Wynberg, Sandton. The company specializes in bespoke kitchen, bar, and wine cellar installations and values proactive communication, operational excellence, and hands-on management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the full manufacturing process of custom projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with design specifications and timelines.
Collaborate with factory coordinators to create and manage production schedules.
Enforce rigorous quality control at all stages of production.
Monitor material usage and manage stock levels in collaboration with procurement.
Supervise equipment maintenance and schedule preventative upkeep.
Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Oversee stock control procedures, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
Maintain a safe and clean factory environment.
Lead and motivate the factory team; provide training and performance feedback.
Coordinate daily tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure timely project completion.
Conduct daily walk-throughs and inspections to maintain quality and efficiency.
Prepare and submit weekly performance reports to senior management.
Communicate effectively with internal departments such as design, procurement, and logistics.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a factory/production supervisory role.
Experience in manufacturing for the cabinetry, carpentry, shopfitting, or interior fit-out industry is essential.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Solid understanding of quality assurance and production scheduling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proactive, organised, and results-driven mindset.
Willingness to work hands-on and lead by example
