Production Supervisor

Job Description

Purpose:
To oversee the manufacturing of Copper Sulphate in an efficient and cost effective manner by co-ordinating the required resources and to ensure the production process is adhered to.

Key duties:

Effective management of the Copper Sulphate production department Plan, implement, measure and control production targets. Ensure breakdowns and maintenance requirements are communicated Co-ordinate with the stores department to ensure that the minimum quantities of spares and end consumables are in stock. Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting on the overall performance of the department. Maintain a work environment that complies with the safety, health, environment and quality requirements. Ensure that production quality meets the desired standards. Troubleshoot, report and resolve any stoppages in the plant.
Minimum requirements:

Matric/Grade 12 At least 5 years experience supervising a medium or large production plant, including supervising a team. Valid drivers license Previous experience working with hazardous chemicals will be advantageous
Competencies:

Ability to be proactive and allocate resources to attain production targets. Ability to motivate and supervisor a team of employees. Basic IR and conflict resolution experience Willing to work night shift.
