Production Supervisor

Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 Matric
1-2 years of experience in a commercial production
Prior experience as a Production Supervisor.
Ability to manage Production operations, staff scheduling, and inventory control
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of fruit & Vegetable preparation standards, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Supervision
Overseeing the production staff.
Delegating duties to the staff.
Monitor cutting, quality, storage, hygiene, machinery and equipment, utensils during shifts.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and always organized.
Stock Control
Ensure that the correct stock is cut, labelled and packed.
Ensure the process first in first out (FIFO).
Report stock shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately to the production manager.
Administration
Ensure that the cutting sheet is printed and distributed accordingly. Batch Numbers recorded on cutting sheets.
Verify that all documentation is completed correctly and submitted on time to the production manager.
General
To carry out any other reasonable instruction given by those in authority.
To ensure strict adherence to all Simply Fresh Produce policies and procedures and code of conduct.
Promote teamwork, discipline, and compliance within the department.
Lead by example and always uphold the company's standards.
