Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the meat production lines, ensuring efficiency and compliance with production schedules
Monitor workflow and adjust production activities to meet quality and quantity targets
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, maintenance, quality assurance) to streamline production
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP or relevant local regulations)
Monitor the quality of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to meet company standards
3. Team Leadership
Manage, train, and motivate production staff to ensure peak performance
Assign duties, monitor team progress, and provide constructive feedback
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
4. Health & Safety
Enforce compliance with workplace safety protocols to minimize accidents and hazards
Ensure staff are trained in proper handling and processing of meat products
5. Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including yields, waste, and downtime
Prepare reports on production performance, staffing needs, and maintenance requirements
Communicate production issues and solutions to senior management
Requirements
6. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 35 years of supervisory experience in meat processing or a related food production environment
7. Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP)
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
