Production Supervisor

Lead a team from various departments Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities, guiding and coaching employees, and monitoring their productivity/ performance. Support Quality to ensure that the product meets the customers' expectations Coordinate production scheduling on shift to meet customer demands, manage overtime, minimize inventory, and to reduce costs Identify the cause of the deviation and implement a course of action to resolve the problem Set and measure performance standards of quality, outputs, time, cost, waste, safety, etc. Determine and discuss all departmental targets with the production manager Build and maintain productive employee relationships Identify critical projects to improve operational performance Full understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to establish a logical, practical solution Co-ordinate all production activities to the best of his/her ability and in the interest of the business Make decisions concerning operational requirements. Ensure that all HACCP and GMP principles are enforced and maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Matric/ Supervisory qualification. Drivers license Diploma in production management or relevant. 1 years' experience as a supervisor within a fast-paced Manufacturing operation, preferably with a food manufacturing background. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).
