The Production Senior Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily production activities, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and leading a team of production staff to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer demands, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
2. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
3. Quality Control: Ensure production meets quality standards, implementing quality control measures and procedures to prevent defects and improve product quality.
4. Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to safety regulations and procedures, and promoting a culture of safety among production staff.
5. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, implementing changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
6. Communication: Communicate effectively with production staff, management, and other departments, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues promptly.
7. Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance, analysing data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction.
8. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met.
Requirements:
1. Education: Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as production management, manufacturing, or engineering.
2. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a production environment, with supervisory experience.
3. Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and safety procedures.
4. Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as lean manufacturing or quality management, are an advantage.
