RedCat Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced PRODUCTION PLANNER for a large, well-established concern, position based in the Northern KwaZulu-Natal area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain and logistics, production and or operations management.

Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Experience on Shopware and Syspro programmes.

Working knowledge and technical skills using Shopware and Syspro operating systems.

5yrs+ proven previous working experience as a production planner within a complex production environment.

Excellent knowledge of production processes.

Math, analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills.

Plan, schedule and coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products on multiple machines/work centres.

Determine manpower, raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place to cover production demand.

Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Schedule shifts and workers to provide sufficient coverage to meet demand, including overtime requirements

Report on production status (disruptions, breakdowns etc) and address issues when they arise to ensure that jobs will be completed on time.

Work closely with sales and marketing with regard to demand planning, forecasting and urgent orders.

Work closely with the Supply, Warehousing and Distribution Manager to prioritise jobs for the purpose of load consolidation.

Ensure that job cards are printed and samples are attached.

Communicate the current and future production plan to the relevant Management the necessary adjustments upon agreement.

Manage the stock order process and requirements.
