My client a well-known and leading manufacturing company requires a competent and experienced Production Planner to join their team.

Requirememts:

National Diploma/Degree in Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering

• 5-10 years production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in an ERP System is ESSENTION
• SAP experience

Job Objectives:

• Support Senior Production Planner with the preparation of the production plan.
• Schedule daily production requirements based on Production Plan.
• Verify MRP and react accordingly, looking at raw material supply and component manufacture.
• SAP Custodian (production function)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Converting material requirement plans into production orders and close when complete.
• Liaise with production control, manufacturing, engineering, and sales function.
• Monitoring of WIP to know which jobs are almost complete or need additional inputs.
• Coordinates rework and reject production orders, subcontracts, customer returns and R&D projects.
• Facilitate logistics and manage customer deliveries.
• Manage PO1 stock take conversion factor report and stock take meetings.
• Track and replenish Customer Furnished Items (CFI).
• Check MRP variances after creation of material requisitions and report variances to manufacturing executives

Support Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Production Plan.
• Stock availability report and Purchase Requisition (PR) creation.
• Support with general SAP queries

Key Performance Areas:

• No critical production stoppages due to planning.
• On Time in Full (OTIF) to customer to be above 90%.
• SAP process adherence by team members.
• Improve capacity utilization.
• Stock take accuracy due to effective planning.
• Standardization of tasks and processes.
• Adherence to the production plan.

Languages:

• English and Afrikaans
