The Production Manager will be responsible for managing Gauteng regionxe2x80x99s production team. The successful candidate will be required to monitor the regional efficiencies whilst maximising the performance and output of the region.

Introduction:
Our client has a national footprint that specializes in the innovative operation and management methods of coal fired Boiler plants on behalf of Industrial users is looking for a Production Manager who will be reporting to the Regional Manager.

Position Overview:
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing Gauteng regionxe2x80x99s production team. The successful candidate will be required to monitor the regional efficiencies whilst maximising the performance and output of the region.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Engineering Degree (B Eng / BSc Mechanical / Chemical).
• Minimum working experience of 2 years on managing multidisciplinary sites.
• Ability to manage and mentor technical and operational staff.
• Administration, management, mentoring and leadership of personnel.
• A technical understanding of boiler operation with an ability to analyze and perform combustion and mass balances would be beneficial.
• Proactive in executing this role through frequent site visits and engaging with colleagues across the various disciplines.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa.
• Experience and confidence with liaison of client at high levels.
• Good analytical (trend and graph) interpretation skills.
• Technical report writing essential.
• Have experience or an interest in energy and steam generation plant, fuel (coal, HFO, biomass) management, water treatment.
• Be prepared to undergo further training or studies.
