Responsibilities

What wexe2x80x99re looking for:

We are looking for a Production Manager II to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located at Britos Bakery in Port Elizabeth reporting to the Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible to manages the various production activities of the large Manufacturing Unit through subordinate supervisors and controllers in order to achieve planned production targets and to ensure the effective use of available resources. The Production Manager will be responsible for the formulation of the production programme and plant maintenance schedules, capital projects, managing and controlling product quality assurance as well as leading the production processes and optimising raw material stock levels. Some key activities will also include optimising people, plant, machinery, and equipment while ensuring that the safety, health & hygiene portfolio is maintained.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role

• Tertiary qualification in Production Management or equivalent
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and systems
• Computer literate (Access and MS Office)
• Knowledge of safety regulations
• Sound Employee relations knowledge
• Successfully works with others in a Management role: Quality, Facilities, Engineering, Raw Materials Stores and Distribution.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment of which at least 3 years at managerial level.
• Must have experience in a highly pressurised and fast moving consumer goods environment
