Job Description
Our client has a senior position available for a Production Manager based in Groblersdal.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture.
- 5+ years in a similar role and an understanding of grapes agriculture.
- Flexible work hours.
- Good physical health.
- Clear criminal record.
- The ability to speak and understand English or Afrikaans.
- The knowledge of prices and quantities.
- Issue verbal and written instructions to production labour teams.
- Manage time and attendance for labour teams.
- Identify an operate several different tools.
- Train labour teams.
- Identify and report potential safety and security issues.
- Provide input into costs and budgets.
- Manage irrigation, fertilizer, pest control and weed and fungus control programmes.
- Monitor the use of farming equipment and machinery.
- Supervise all steps of the production process.
