Youll direct and lead the production department, applying sound general management and strategic skills to support the companys growth and competitiveness. Ensure the timely delivery of market services at the right price, quality, and within specified turnaround times. As a key player in the senior management team, youll lead production processes and personnel, maximising operational efficiency and ensuring the implementation of strategic decisions in day-to-day operations.

Your role will extend to managing production inputs and outputs, maintaining workflow through continuous process monitoring, implementing cost reduction measures, and promptly correcting any issues. A strong emphasis will be placed on fostering frequent and open communication between various teams and departments. Additionally, youll analyse production performance to provide valuable manufacturing insights and drive overall performance management while managing the budget and generating reports for senior management.

A production management professional with an engineering qualification (BTech or BEng in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) and at least 5 years experience in a similar position within a heavy manufacturing or steel environment will be perfectly suited to this role. Knowledge of ERP systems is advantageous.
