Job Title: Production Manager
Geographical area: Alberton, Gauteng
Salary range: R 45 000.00 R 50 000.00 CTC pm

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• The incumbent will oversee the production process within the company and to ensure the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.
• Plan workers' schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines.
• Working together with supervisors and top management, to ensure that products are manufactured to a certain quality standard and adheres to other safety/industry-related regulations.
• Ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis.
• Oversee employees in the manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient, and effective productivity.
• Reduces expenses and increases productivity across all product lines.
• Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
• Set clear and profitable production goals and effectively communicate them to key personnel.
• Prepares the daily production report accurately, timely, and completely.
• Timely communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
• Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity.
• Ensure daily optimum staffing levels.
• Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase profitability.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12 / Equivalent
• Relevant diploma or degree
• A minimum of 5 years experience in Production Manager role
• A minimum of 10 years in the steel industry
• Sober habits
