Responsibilities
Ensure optimal utilization of resources, adherence to production schedules, and cost-control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
Apply lean inventory principles to identify and eliminate inefficiencies reducing wastage and excess stock.
Coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to optimise throughput and minimise bottlenecks.
Set and monitor budget targets for production, evaluating variances and taking corrective actions.
Manage all aspects of the warehouse, including inventory control, stock accuracy, and efficient material flow to and from the production lines.
Design efficient layouts in factory/warehouse for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to reduce handling time.
Maintain appropriate stock levels for all materials, preventing overstocking or stock-outs.
Guarantee that all critical documents are systematically documented and accessible for compliance and quality assurance.
Implement and maintain quality control systems, ensuring products and processes meet the required standards and comply with relevant regulations (e.g., ISO standards, health and safety regulations).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, ISO 14001/ OSHAS 18001 best practices and local/national regulations for chemical manufacturing and warehousing.
Utilise systems and processes developed and ensure compliance to best practices. Drive the continual improvement and integration of systems and processes, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and sustainability.
Promote innovative approaches to production and warehouse operations, aiming to reduce costs, improve product quality, and ensure sustainable growth.
Ensuring procurement strategies includes health and safety factors and focus on continuous development for yourself and people in your team.
Requirements
Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
3-5 years' experience in Chemical Manufacturing and Warehouse Administration
Previous experience and knowledge in Chemical Raw Material Sourcing
Knowledge of Chemical manufacturing/blending
Quality Control / ISO 9001 implementation and maintenance
Chemical detergent and disinfectant Industry exposure
Inventory Management
The successful Incumbent must have the following skillset:
Exceptional communicator both verbally and written
Good understanding and knowledge of the cleaning industry and service orientated.
Logical thinker as well as strategic and organized
Ability to solve problems efficiently and to be pro-active in identifying potential problems
Attention to detail
