As a Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production process of Macmillans market-leading TVET publications. This includes coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the timely, efficient and high-quality production of printed and digital materials.Role ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end production process, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are upheldCo-ordinate with publishing, editorial and marketing teams to align production timelines and deliverablesLiaise with external suppliers to obtain quotes, track progress of commissioned work and resolve any issuesMonitor and track budgets, costs and timelines to ensure projects stay within scopeEnsure compliance with industry standards and company policiesTroubleshoot any production-related issues, ensuring a smooth workflowExperience, Skills & QualificationsMatric certificateProficiency in electronic origination/composition (qualification an advantage)Proven experience as a production coordinator/controller or in a similar role within publishing or print productionStrong understanding of publishing production processes, from concept to final deliveryAdvanced computer literacy and proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of Adobe applications including but not limited to Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesignExceptional organisational and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workGood interpersonal and communication skills including written and spoken EnglishTo apply : Interested candidates should submit their CV, a cover letter detailing their interest in the position and the names of two contactable and relevant referees.If you have not been contacted within a two week period of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.NB: In terms of meeting the companys goals with respect to Employment Equity, people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.At Springer Nature, we value the diversity of our teams and work to build an inclusive culture, where people are treated fairly and can bring their differences to work and thrive.
