Job Description
Bosal Afrika (Pty) Ltd is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced internal candidates for the position of Production Controller.
Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and expediting materials and production processes for the manufacture of TB and ECS products, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Develop and manage the Daily Production Build Plan in alignment with BMS factory orders
- Take ownership of the following production areas:
- Mono Parts
- Welding
- Paint-line
Adapt production plans to accommodate changing priorities, market demands, resource constraints, and raw material availability
Manage open factory orders and expedite any overdue items
Identify material and production shortages, provide status updates, and implement recovery actions
Generate and communicate daily production reports from BMS to Management and Operations teams
Investigate discrepancies and resolve recurring issues within the production process
Minimum Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering
- High sense of urgency and adaptability to change
- Sound knowledge of MRP systems, operations, and quality processes
- 35 years experience in production control, material flow, and capacity planning within the automotive industry
- Salary: Market Related
