The Production and Material Planner provide support in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production and material activities to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery. The role focuses on assisting with daily schedules, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring clear communication between departments. This is an entry-level role designed to build foundational skills in production and material planning within the Supply Chain environment.
JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Coordination
- Assist with compiling and updating daily and weekly production plans under guidance of the Senior Planner or Head of Planning.
- Support with monitoring workflow to ensure production runs on schedule and materials are available when needed.
- Communicate any deviations or risks in the plan to relevant supervisors or planners.
- Help prepare and issue work orders to the shop floor.
- Participate in production meetings to align progress and priorities.
Material Control
- Monitor raw material requirements and availability.
- Assist with coordinating material movements between factories to prevent production stoppages.
- Capture and maintain accurate material data in the planning system.
- Support daily and monthly stock count activities.
- Report potential shortages or excess stock to the planning team.
Data Management
- Perform accurate data capturing and updates on ERP or planning systems.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and filing of production and material documentation.
- Assist with generating and distributing planning and performance reports
Continuous Improvement
- Support the planning team in identifying and reporting process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in small improvement projects related to planning accuracy, stock visibility, or workflow efficiency.
- Learn and apply planning principles such as FIFO, MRP basics, and safety stock control.
Collaboration and Communication
- Maintain open communication with production, procurement, and warehouse teams.
- Assist in resolving issues related to materials, schedule changes, or production delays.
- Uphold professionalism and teamwork across all interactions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTs
1. Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Management, or related field (or currently studying toward one).
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
3. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
4. Keen attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
5. Good communication and teamwork abilities
