Job Purpose


To operate as a business support for stakeholders by analyzing; communicating and validating requirements of changes to production business systems within the business unit; requiring the investigation of business systems; understanding of business problems and identification of solutions; enabling the bank to achieve its goals

Job Responsibilities


Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.). Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.. Green Strategy). Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank. Implement solutions effectively to enable the realisation of the financial business benefits accruing by minimising and reducing system errors and inefficiencies. Ensure business system product specifications are accurate; complete and are in line with all relevant standards and requirements; i.e. user procedures; technical specifications; and business requirements by reviewing and making appropriate recommendations. Meet client needs by configuring the trading systems to meet requirements. Develop trusting relationships with internal stakeholders by ensuring proactive communication between stakeholders and the functional team remain optimised.Meet stakeholder requirements by ensuring that the product and process design (from the solution design team) is in agreement with the required business specifications. Maintain collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders by working with vendors to configure trading systems to resolve production issues. Meet client needs by configuring the trading systems to meet requirements. Develop trusting relationships with internal stakeholders by ensuring proactive communication between stakeholders and the functional team remain optimised.Meet stakeholder requirements by ensuring that the product and process design (from the solution design team) is in agreement with the required business specifications. Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management. Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe. Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction. Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations. Update and maintain process and procedure manuals ensuring relevance and completeness at all times. Ensure work completed to plan by adhering to agreed timelines and following the project plan. Maintain business trading systems by managing end of day processes. Accurately identify; analyse and resolve client queries by understanding the products; processes and systems.Ensure systems governance by complying with operational risk standards.



Essential Qualification- NQF Level
BSc Computer Science/IT/Maths/Engineering/Statistics Bcom Information Systems/Finance/Investments BTech IT, Engineering, Maths, Business Analytics Preferred Qualification

Relevant Post Graduate degree

Minimum Experience Level

2 - 3 years in supporting trading systems
