About the team
We are a small team tasked with providing best in class technology solutions to our client teams. As part of end-to-end product ownership, the team are required to be both creative and analytical with the ability to understand and articulate business challenges or ideas, explore options, design solutions and see through to implementation. Client Technology, alongside other technology teams at Ninety One, has a firm focus on innovation, continuous improvement and a freedom to create.


Salesforce is one of the strategic technology platforms at Ninety One. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Client Technology team tasked with the delivery of a best-in-class CRM solution to our client and operational servicing teams. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual that will thrive in a creative and high-performance culture.


As the Salesforce Solutions Architect you will be responsible for driving the strategic roadmap of the platform ensuring delivery of effective solutions to our client teams. This role will require excellent communication skills to understand key user requirements and be able to influence and drive user adoption. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering the best user experience and be able to recommend best practice Salesforce solutions within the framework of our overall technology strategy.


We are looking for someone that has the vision to make Salesforce the natural go-to system for the client groups' day to day activities, delivering the right information at the right time in a simple and effective manner.
In this role you will:

+ Understand and add value to all business, process, functional and technical discussions
+ Guide discovery, research and design efforts to create a common vision and strategy for the Salesforce platform
+ Facilitate the creation of customer journeys from inception to completion
+ Create innovative ways to drive user adoption and upskilling
+ Advocate for design quality and vision alignment within solution recommendations
+ Apply design thinking methodology
+ Work closely with the end users to understand their business needs and deliver innovative solutions to ensure their success
+ Regularly attend client group and marketing team meetings to proactively identify where Salesforce could be leveraged or improved to support the client teams
+ Be responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of new features and enhancements
+ Own on-boarding, training, increasing adoption and building high levels of user satisfaction
+ Own platform governance & ensure standards are met and maintained across all product teams using the platform
+ Manage, coach and mentor the development team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
+ Assist with the design and adoption of Salesforce Data Cloud solutions, including data ingestion, identity resolution, and segmentation, to enable customer 360 use cases across Sales, Marketing, and Client Services
+ Own and evolve our Salesforce DevOps strategy across a growing Salesforce ecosystem
+ Collaborate closely with data engineering and marketing technology teams to activate trusted data through Salesforce and connected platforms

+ A minimum of 5 years hands-on Salesforce or similar CRM experience in an agile methodology framework
+ Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, or similar CDP platforms
+ Proven ability to design and govern DevOps processes using tools like Gearset, GitHub, or Copado, in a regulated or enterprise environment
+ Familiarity with Data Cloud-adjacent technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or Azure is a plus
+ Financial Services experience (preferably Asset Management) (beneficial)
+ Mobile UX design (beneficial)
+ Change management experience (beneficial)
